Bulletin & E-Tsayn

posted Nov 6, 2014, 8:13 AM by Kansas City Armenian Church
Dear Friends,

Attached is the Sunday Bulletin for this week with the eTsayn to follow.

The weather has gotten cold in many parts of the country which means that the homeless will be facing many difficult days to come.  Perhaps during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons we may be moved to donate some food items to shelters and food kitchens, which is a good thing.

Let's not forget our obligation as a church to help the needy.  Our Parishes and Mission Parishes that receive monetary contributions for the work that needs be done should always remember that

OUR WORK IS TO BE THE WORK OF CHRIST - FEED THE HUNGRY, SHELTER THE HOMELESS, CLOTHE THE NAKED . . .  and not so much in having dances, dinners, golf tournaments and meetings.

Would it hurt if each community took out just  $250 from their treasury and gave it to a local food pantry or homeless shelter as a Christmas gift.  Yes as individuals we also have that responsibility.  But how about us acting Christ-like as the church parish we attend and do the same.  WOW!  Imagine!

More to come.  In the meantime, be well and God's blessings
