Watch the Armenian Independence Day Concert in New York

A celebration of the 26th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia will be held tonight at St. Vartan Armenian Cathedral in New York.
 
The event on Thursday, September 21, will begin at 7 p.m. with a prayer service in the cathedral, followed by a concert featuring the talents of cellist Laura Navasardian, violinist Simon Hagopian-Rogers, and pianists Michael Kakossian Khoury and Şahan Arzruni. The evening will conclude with a reception in Haik and Alice Kavookjian Auditorium.
 
Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian will be the guest of honor, and deliver remarks.
 
The anniversary celebration—organized by the Permanent Mission of Armenia to the United Nations, with the participation of national and regional Armenian organizations—is free and open to the public.
